Nobody puts Baby in the corner

What a coincidence. I had a song stuck in my head when I woke up this morning (well, if 1:30 pm can be called morning) - (I've had the) Time of My Life. Singing it in the shower and while making myself coffee, I didn't think much about it. It's a fun song to sing, and I wound awful while doing it.
Then my boyfriend came home from work and told me that Patrick Swayze had died of pancreatic cancer. He was 57 years old.

Well, here's to you, Swayze: The Time of My Life, not sung by me. Jeez, how many times did I not watch Dirty Dancing (1987) while growing up? Sigh.

I will be watching "To Wong Foo: Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" tonight in mourning.
I admit, I've never seen Dirty Dancing, but Roadhouse was a staple in my childhood.

I liked him as Orry Main in North & South. He also appeared in one of the later seasons of MASH, ironically portraying a soldier suffering from leukemia!

Maggie:
Go watch Dirty Dancing now! Great music (except for the 1980's songs).

Mikael:
Oh, the irony... I think he was great in Donnie Darko also. But I never liked Ghost, even though the sculpturing-in-clay-scene is so famous.
