Margaret Sullavan and James Stewart in The Shopworn Angel (1938).
Yeah, I know that the wonderful Elizabeth at the always thrilling blog Oh By Jingo! Oh By Gee! already posted this. But since it gives me goose bumps all over, I simply need to have it on my blog also! It is James Stewart singing Day After Day, and he really sings wonderful.
He has such a lovely voice and it is a perfect style for the era. It makes you wonder why he didn't do more.

ReplyDeleteYou really do. I'm trying desperately to track down some record with his songs, but I'm not succeeding!
He always criticized his own voice - I love when he sings, though :)

ReplyDeleteThe quality of his voice is up to his female admirers to judge! It's heart melting.
