It's like he chose roles that were more or less taboo for their unglamour. It makes you wonder why actors nowadays don't go through half as much as they did back then!

In an interview with Minta Durfee (Roscoe Arbuckle's wife) she said that modern actors were so spoiled as they demanded thousands of dollars and stunt doubles, and those stunt doubles demand mattresses and harnesses for their stunts. Ms. Durfee said that at Keystone the Cops gladly accepted their $20 dollars a week and did whatever awful stunts without doubles or any sort of security!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11592715432020988588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3575280877085021446.post-11750650008830681732009-04-22T19:49:00.000+02:002009-04-22T19:49:00.000+02:00Nicole:

I know that by the time Creighton was bidding for stardom, his suggestions for his own makeup for One Million Years B.C. were turned down by the studio. Then again, most actors wouldn't have been as skillfully creative as Chaney Sr. Those are lovely images you've posted.Samuel Wilsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934870299522899944noreply@blogger.com
