From what I hear Bogart didn't much like Hepburn, mainly because he wanted Bacall to play her part.Robby Cresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00535820211830339224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3575280877085021446.post-18462035477854407362009-03-26T23:32:00.000+01:002009-03-26T23:32:00.000+01:00Seven Year Itch is another one I keep forgetting i...Seven Year Itch is another one I keep forgetting is a Billy Wilder film(he is so versitile!)..I recently picked up a copy after seeing it so many times..I cant't listen to Rachmoninoff without thinking of that movie..or watch The Creature from the Black Lagoon!!! =:oOChristopherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01165402182512034384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3575280877085021446.post-67703600106301597772009-03-26T22:08:00.000+01:002009-03-26T22:08:00.000+01:00Sarah:I agree with you - I never had the thought t...Sarah:
I agree with you - I never had the thought that he would be TOO old. Yes, he is older than Audrey, but wasn't that the purpose? That the character Linus would be that older business man who dedicated all his life on his work? It's silly to criticize Bogart's age, he was perfect :)Lolita of the Classicshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03596876234508882958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3575280877085021446.post-2393934046942166342009-03-26T21:50:00.000+01:002009-03-26T21:50:00.000+01:00Sabrina is one of my favorite movies, I absolutely...Sabrina is one of my favorite movies, I absolutely love it. Everybody thinks that Bogie was was too old to be going after a young'un like Audrey, but I actually think it works. The whole movie is flawless, and perfectly directed by Wilder.Sarah Mannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15896687782349327373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3575280877085021446.post-76935276052114862542009-03-26T21:36:00.000+01:002009-03-26T21:36:00.000+01:00Great Gatsby:Thanks for your kind words! Aaah, want them!

Christopher:
Yes, it is quite different from Sunset Boulevard, but the quality is the same! Haha, love when directors make references to themselves. As when Bogart in this film buys tickets to "The Seven Year Itch", his M Monroe comedy from 1955.

Elizabeth:
Thank you!
