I was quite pleased with some of the pictures I managed to dig of on the web :)
Your depiction of the Vampira scene in Plan 9 is spot on, Matthew!Lolita of the Classicshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03596876234508882958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3575280877085021446.post-70828419081077065662009-12-21T22:11:32.388+01:002009-12-21T22:11:32.388+01:00Bless you, Lolita, for so many pictures of this go...Bless you, Lolita, for so many pictures of this goddess that I've never seen before!
I LOVE that picture of her with the kids...
I used to dream of this woman. From the age of 12-18 I dreamed of virtually nothing else.
I still think she's about the most gorgeous creature ever.
I watched a documentary about Ed Wood the other night, and she said that her total appearance in Plan 9 took about 15 minutes to shoot! But that image of her coming out of the tomb with those rigid outstretched arms, and the bit where she walks away from the camera and then looks back at us - at me - over her shoulder, will live as long as anything in cinema.
Viva Vampira!Matthew Coniamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00302989527514886503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3575280877085021446.post-78872236930745878592009-12-21T16:35:43.416+01:002009-12-21T16:35:43.416+01:00Louise:

That picture of her talking to the little girls, from everything I've read, that was what she was like - always willing to talk to fans, never guarded or "on."

Thanks for this post.
